1) Which Web browser should I use to best view your site?
CanLearn is best viewed using Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher.
2) How do I clear my cache?
Although information is not retained, collected, shared, saved, or stored in a database for any reason by CanLearn, it may be retained in your browser's cache. For this reason, clearing your computer's cache will help to protect the security of your personal information by ensuring that it will not be saved on your computer’s hard-drive.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you should clear your disc cache and delete your temporary Internet files before closing and reopening your browser.
3) How do I enable JavaScript?
Some of the features on the site require the use of JavaScript. To verify that your browser is JavaScript-enabled, follow these steps:
- Internet Explorer
- From the top menu bar, select "Tools" and then "Internet Options."
- On the "Security" Tab, select "Internet" and click on "Custom Level."
- Scroll down to "Scripting", "Active Scripting" and make sure that it is enabled.
- Click "OK" and confirm that you want to change the security settings.
- Click "OK" again.
- Mozilla Firefox
- From the top menu bar, select "Tools" and then "Options."
- On the "Content" tab, select "Enable JavaScript."
- Click "OK" to confirm.
- Safari
- From the top menu bar, select "Preferences."
- On the "Content" tab, select "Enable JavaScript."
- Click "OK" to confirm.
Cookies are a mechanism used by Web sites to store information entered by users. Some of our tools require the use of session cookies to function and provide you with information tailored to your needs.
Session cookies reside on Web browsers and have no expiry date. These cookies cannot retrieve information from your hard-drive. In other words, no one who might examine your cookies would be able to use them to perform transactions on our Web site as you.
Our cookies are not disk-resident (also called persistent cookies). They are stored in your browser for only one session and will be deleted as soon as your browser is closed.
5) How do I enable session cookies?
The following instructions will allow you to enable session cookies:
- Internet Explorer
- In the Tools menu, selec Internet Options.
- In the Privacy tab, click on the Advanced button.
- Select the Override automatic cookie handling option.
- Select the Always allow session cookies option.
- Click OK.
- In the Privacy tab window, click OK again.
